*YAY* what a fabulous morning, spent with fabulous people who kindly set up and decorated the tables, fabulous people who dontated cakes, sugar, tea, drinking chocolate (the list can go on and on), to those fabulous people who gave of their time and served behind the refreshment and cake stalls, not forgetting the fabulous George Carey Church of England Primary school staff who advertized the event, banked the money!! and who also donated cakes and money towards the Macmillan Cancer Support Coffee Morning and to the school children, who enjoyed their non-uniform day and donated a pound for this privilege :)
What a line up!!! unfortunately not everyone wanted their photo taken with us - but a big thank you to Peter Crow and Tracy Wollen who also supported the event with their muscles by putting out tables and chairs.
We were taken aback by people's generosity as the tables heaved under the weight of home made cakes, shop cakes, biscuits cooked in the school kitchen and fairy cakes made by children.

We were deighted when Mandy Jayne donated six tasty cappacino cup cakes. They were indeed one of the talking points of the morning and everyone wanted to take a photo before they were sold as they were so beautifully made. Thank you Mandy Jayne and you can find 'Cakes By Mandy Jayne' at Facebook.com/CakesByMandyJayne
Tony Filbert was the first person to be served by Sarah Devlin.
It was indeed a wonderful morning and a great joy to experience the community coming together to support such a worthy cause. Many gave moving stories of relatives, friends, neighbours who are and have been supported by the Macmillan nurses and so were delighted to be able to contribute something in appreciation - so far we have raised about £370 - Many, many, many thanks to you all..
